Welcome to the Thompson Legacy

Hello and welcome to the Thompson Legacy.

In case you don’t know, a legacy in the sims 3 is a very long challenge were you aim to get 10 generations from a founder sim created in CAS. There are a lot of rules and you can find them here.

This is my first legacy and I’m very excited to be writting this. It starts with my lovely founder, Marie, and her family.

Introduction

Generation 1: The last pregnancy

This is the second set of twins I give birth to. And hopefully, the last. Just watch Chris’ face, he’s as thrilled as I am.

While we were away, Nicole took care of her baby brother, letting her friend go home. She even tried to teach him to speak. Such a good teenager!

Here’s Chris, talking to his daughters about his favourite subject: Fishing. Well, he’s still trying to fulfill his lifelong wish, but he’s not making a lot of progress. Meanwhile, Natalie does her homework. Good girl!

Chris decided it was time for him to teach his daughter to study. He really adores Nicole and she’s happy about it.

After that, Natalie and her father went fishing, she likes it and he’s proud of her, that’s a first.

Meanwhile, Nicole and I were tied up in a thrilling chess game, wich she won, by the way.

I decided Marcus had to learn everything, and soon. The twins weren’t going to be babies forever.

But while they are, Nicole can pick on them, stealing their candy. But she’s a nice girl after all, she’s sorry very quickly and comforts them.

And here’s she, baking a cake for her brothers’ birthday

They are really cute toddlers, this one is Arthur:

And this one is Robert:

They play together all the time! I love my little boys!

I had to teach them everything, I’m tired of this already. I decided to start with Arthur

And Nicole wanted to help, so she tried to teach Robert, but she is not very patient.

She yelled at him, at least once, so I decided to take over.

Here I am, with three screaming toddlers all over again.

But this time, I have a little help

And Chris has been a lot of help too, this time with both twins. Even if he’s really sleepy.

Meanwhile, Rose was starting new friendships, or, as I found out later, deepening the ones she already had. Remember Adam? The kid who played with Rose’s dolls? That’s him, a really adventurous teen. I hope he’s boyfriend material now.

And Nicole started a new job at the cementery. After her last incursion there, I thought she would never go in again, but apparently, she liked it. Weird kid.

Generation 1: Teens and baby boy

This is Marcus and I’m potty training him, and yes, I’m pregnant, again. No coments.

Poor Rose is fixing the tap, she wants to improve her mechanical skill. And Natalie sat on the kitchen floor to enjoy her sister’s bad mood. Evil kid!

This is the face of evil, isn’t it?

Nicole wanted to explore the catacumbs, I told her it was very dangerous, but she didn’t listen, she went anyways.

I told her that was a bad idea, there are bears down there! Oh my! Well, at least she got a rare seed.

Marcus is very happy to be the only toddler in the house, he can play with all the toys. Soon, there will be another baby at the house and Marcus will have to share the toys.

My angel girl decided she wanted to be a doctor when she grows up. And she’s starting to work on her logic skill, to get a head start.

And here I am, tending the garden, as always. And yes, I’m still pregnant. I feel like Im pregnant all the time!

Remember the face of evil? Well, she’s a good girl after all. She takes care of her baby brother and works on her homework. And she’s the only one who’s been helping me with the garden, and she loves it so much she decided to work in the science building, she wants to be a plant cross breeder or something like that.

This is Natalie’s first day at school, Nicole is happy and sitting right next to her sister, but Rose is sitting far away, she doesn’t want to “be near the babies”, in her own words.

Rose has grown, she’s a beautiful young lady and she knows she has to keep working on her career. Well, her future career, she’s still a teen and can’t get into the military yet. But she keeps training.

My evil kid wanted to steal Marcus candy. I don’t know how that happened, but she wanted it. Anyway, she did it. But shortly after she felt bad about it and conforted her little brother. I don’t know if she gave him back the candy, though.

This is Nicole’s new friend, she’s a weird kid, with that haircut and the blue high heels. But apparently Nicole likes her.

Poor Natalie, she’s still having trouble with her homework, thankfully, Rose is eager to explain her everything.

See why I say Nicole is the good twin? She has just donated money to some charity.

My baby is taking his first steps. Marcus looks really cute in these photos. Besides, I needed to get that out of the way before getting another baby on board.

Not a moment too soon, here comes the next baby of the Thompson clan, and, hopefully, the last one to grow in my belly.

Chris and I just got into a cab and went to the hospital as quickly as posible.

We didn’t realize who was left taking care of my baby boy. Oh well, I guess she’s a good kid, she’s Nicole’s friend after all.

Generation 1: Life changing events

Here we are, on the way to the hospital. I hope is a boy to continue my legacy!

Well, yes, here’s my baby. A cute little boy, Marcus Thompson. It was really late at night, but my little boy was not scared at all. He’s so brave!

Well, I did finish my hubby’s portrait before his birthday, nice gift, don’t you think?

My dear boy grew up quickly into a cute little toddler, but he’s so dirty all the time! and he just doesn’t mind. He looks really cute.

Rose had an assignment the next day, she had to go to the science facility and ask a bunch of questions about them, she got an A+ she’s so smart!

This is Chris’ new uniform, he got a promotion!!! at last!!! We’re so proud!

Rose is such a nice teen, she wants her sisters to be smart and she’s doing her homework with them.

We have to celebrate this promotion, don’t you think?

Rose wants to practice what she learnt on the kiddie oven. She’s really good at  it and is making breakfast here.

And I went back to painting, which I really liked a lot.

But that day I felt a little dizzy, it could be because of the painting, the odors of the paint, maybe.

This kid is Nicole’s new friend. Do you think he’s boyfriend material?

Here’s the party that Rose should have had. Well, at least the twins had a birthday party and everyone came.

Here’s my baby, Natalie the evil twin, she’s going first and Nicole is very happy for her, she’s cheering on her little sister. And Chris’ protesting against the party by wearing his pjs. Oh, well.

And right there and then, when we were all happy celebrating Natalie’s birthday, my good friend Cornelia decided it was time for her to go. Out of this world.

And here we are, all of us, crying over my friends death. Grimmy came to pick her up soon after.

And, sadly, the angel twin had to blow her candles all by herself.

Well, not all alone, her lovely twin, who really loves her family, was cheering on her. I guess her family trait kicked in.

At least, Nicole got the day off at school, and she’s the only one who’s asleep in the whole house.

Here are my babies, they look wonderful after their makeover. This is Natalie

And this is Nicole:

Generation 1: Rose and Chris’ birthdays

Today is Rose an Chris’ birthdays. It seems as everyday is a birthday around here! My girls are playing nicely, using up the last few hours Rose has left as a child.

1-Girls playing

And I decided to get everything ready for the party.

And there’s Natalie, giving it a second try, this time Chris seems more at ease.

Having finished my own portrait, I started to work in my hubby’s. He looks cute here, doesn’t he?

Nicole is trying to understand the fact that there’s a baby growing inside of me. But she’s not that bright, it seems.

Rose, my baby! She’s enyoing her last hours as a child, she won’t be able to play with the dolls anymore.

I’m making progress in my painting, I’ve spent most of the day on this. I hope I can finish it on time for his birthday.

I still needed to take care of my garden, I hope one of the kids grows to like this. Someone has to do it when I’m gone.

I didn’t know I had this picture in here. I guess the girls wanted to get their last picture together as little girls. But where’s Natalie?

Oh, there she is, getting her homework done. She was asked to research the grocery store and she got right into it.

Rose is enjoying the toys, still, but her birthday is really soon and I didn’t have time to plan a party!

See? She just grew up with only her sisters as witnesses.

She looks really cute after her makeover. A gift for my kids every time they grow up.

Chris didn’t want to make a fuss about his birthday, he feels he is too old now. But he’s not even an elder!

Well, it was a good thing we didn’t throw a party, because my baby decided it was time to get home. Right now.

Poor Rose, she’s so scared for me!

Generation 1: Still loving the kids.

Life got on a steady rutine, the girls went to school and the adults to work. It was easy and fun, I didn’t know having three kids could be fun. I still wanted more. My girls were starting to realize they had wants and they liked some things over others. Rose, for example, was always exploring the galaxy, looking for stars. And Natalie thought it might be a good idea too.

And I went back to something I’ve always loved, painting. Soon I had the skills to paint portraits and started to paint one of myself. After work, of course, I still wanted to get a promotion soon.

One day, this kid came home with Rose, Adan, he seemed like a nice kid, maybe boyfriend material for later…

Well, maybe not.

Look, there’s Natalie, I wonder what she’s up to, I hope robbing a bank is not part of her plans, yet.

No, it’s Adan. She didn’t like that kid. Oh, well, we knew she was evil since the day she was born.

Later that evening, when the kids were asleep, Chris and I put into action some of those thoughts we were having. I know you know what I mean.

Anyway, I finished my portrait and kept painting. I wanted to know everything it is to know about it.

Remember what I said about Rose? She loves her telescope and searches the galaxy daily, until one day she found a new star and named it after herself. And then and there, my big girl decided she wanted to be an astronaut.

And she started to work on it that same morning.

At lunchtime, Natalie decided to treat me to one of her muffins, from the kid’s oven. She seemed happy, like she wanted to do something good for someone. Maybe she’s not that evil.

Maybe she is. Why on earth would I be vomiting right in front of the grocerie store then?

And here she is, my master of evilness, talking with the angel of the house, the good twin. Weirdly, they are quite good friends.

This time, every ingredient used in any food I eat is coming from my garden, being harvested by my hands. Understood?

That night, I couldn’t sleep, so I decided to complete an oportunity from the Stadium. I did some exercise with the radio, run to the pool and swam for half an hour. It felt good. My tummy wasn’t upset anymore.

But when I got back, I knew why. I think I owe someone an apology, don’t you think?

Generation 1: Loving the kids

Now we have three kids in the house. This is a lot easier than having three screaming toddlers. Man, that was hard! Anyway, now the girls can fetch for themselves and I can go back to painting and working. And I decided I wanted to paint a portrait of myself.

And the girls were having fun playing chess with each other. The twins were very good friends, despite one being good and the other evil. They liked each other, maybe because Natalie had that family oriented trait that made her want to be nice with her family.

But sometimes I could see that evil streak in her, she scared me a little.

Rose kept doing her homework on the floor, we still don’t have a dinning table. The twins didn’t have to go to school yet and Rose was all by herself. Apparently, she likes her freedom. I just wish that when they go to school together Rose can help them with their homework.

Natalie was taking advantage of her loves the outdoors trait and decided to go fishing with her dad. Chris was a little worried about it and decided to stay far away, looking at her from the other side of the pond. She was not happy about it.

We had bought the girls some new toys, an oven that Nicole used every change she got. She loved that thing, she didn’t take leftovers from the fridge anymore, whenever she was hungry she turned to the oven and baked some food. She had a lot of fun.

The other toy we bought the girls was a dollhouse. And the only one that played with it on a regular basis was Nicole. She didn’t like it as much as the oven though.

One day, the night before the twins started school, I asked Natalie how she felt about it. She told me she was very enthusiastic about it, she would meet people and get minions for her evil plans. She would make a lot of money of the kids, buying and selling homework. Interesting, so my little one is evil after all.

That same night, when the kids were busy all around the house, Chris looked at me. I knew what he was thinking about and it made me tingle. Now that the girls are all grown up we have time to… um… get some more babies.

The twins first day of school I got on the bus and snatched a picture. They were sitting together at the front, but Rose was all by herself several rows behind them. I asked her why, she should sit next to her sisters, to help them around school. She said she didn’t want to sit with the babies, but she promised me she would take care of them, she said it was her responsibility as the big sister.

That afternoon Rose kept her promise, she did her homework with Natalie, and helped her a little along the way. Still on the floor. We have to get a dinning table, I don’t want the kids doing their homework on the floor anymore.

Anyway, I was back at work for a while now and I got back to the garden too. With three kids running around I had plenty of time for myself.

And Chris did too. He wanted to get fit, to be a good role model for the kids. With that in mind, he turned on the stereo and started to do some jumping jacks. I don’t know if it really helped.

One day, Nicole got home late, she said she had an assignment, she had to find out about the history of the supermarket. She spent most of the afternoon there, asking questions.

After that, she sat on the curb and wrote the essay. But having spent all day there meant she heard a lot of stories, and sometimes, she didn’t know when all of them happened anymore.

Meanwhile, Rose and Natalie went fishing. It was Rose’s first time, but she was a natural. She caught a lot more fish than her sister, even though she didn’t have the angler trait.

Natalie was not happy about it.

Generation 1: And yet more birthdays.

Nicole loves to be around her daddy and he loves to be around his good girl. He is still teaching her how to walk and she is learning fast.

The other day I walked in on this, both twins can talk now and they do it, a lot. They have interesting conversations.

I think we should go on vacation.

No, that’s too expensive for us, we don’t even have a room for each of us.

I never thought my babies had this conversations. I wish we did have money to take them on vacation somewhere. But Natalie is right, we don’t have money to give each of the girls her own room, not even now that their birthday is coming up. My big girl, Rose, is forced to study on the floor, we don’t even have a dining table.

The twins’ birthday came up. The first to blow the candles was Natalie, she was the first to be born after all. I was the one who held her while she blew the candles, Chris  still wanted to be away from her. And she had the same awkward moment as her sister.

She grew up to be a beautiful kid and she insisted to keep the same hairstyle I have, she said she wanted to be just like her mom, maybe that way she would be a great mom afterwards. My baby girl is so sweet, I knew she would grow up to inherit some good traits from her mommy.

Next up is Nicole, held by her beloved daddy. I really envy the relationship this two have developed, I wish it was like this between Natalie and me. She’s not really that close to me, even when she said all those sweet things about me. Nicole didn’t have that awkward phase both her sisters had, but she wasn’t lucky, she grew up to look just as a boy.

Dear Nicole grew up to be a lovely girl and she kept the same haircut she had when she was a toddler. Well, actually, she almost didn’t make it to the mirror, she tripped over a door and fell to the ground. I guess she grew up to be a little clumsy. Chris styled her hair, just as he had done when she was a toddler.

Generation 1: Birthdays, birthdays.

I went back to my garden, sometimes I needed to be all by myself, one with nature. I wanted to be alone.

My husband, my Chris, felt the same thing maybe. He kept fishing but this time he caught his first perfect fish, a goldfish. He was so happy!

This is Ari, the perfect goldfish. Chris wanted to put it in a bowl in our room and I agreed. It was his first perfect fish after all.

But I knew who would keep this fish alive.

Meanwhile, the twins kept doing what they needed to do: learn their skills. Natalie can’t be evil, we were talking about love and she was very enthusiastic about  it.

And she was so scared the first time I tried to teach her to walk. She feared she would fall, I guess.

All this time, Nicole was having a blast with her toys. Chris wanted to teach her the skills and didn’t let me get anywhere close. She didn’t mind, she loved her dad.

But I needed to teach her some things, like how to use the potty. I just didn’t want to change one more nappy. Not anymore. She still didn’t want me to tech her, she wanted her beloved daddy.

Chris thought he was in a roll, he caught another perfect fish and kept fishing every minute he had.

Rose was the only one that could have fun around the house, she could play with her xylophone all the time.

While I was potty training the twins. I just wanted to be over with the nappies!

Chris was still a good father to Natalie, even thought he thought she was an evil little tyke. He still played with her and hugged her whenever he could.

I still can’t believe it. Do you really think this is the face of evil?

Well, anyway, life fell to a nice routine for a while, until that day came: Rose’s birthday… and my birthday too. I talked to my daughter that day: Are you excited? Today is our birthday! – Yes mommy, I am! I will be a kid, all grown up.

And there she is, waiting impatiently for the party to start.

A few hours later, the guests arrived. And some one who we didn’t invite. Emma Hatch.

Everyone was so excited about her party and she was very happy too. We blew the candles together and she grew up nicely. With a very awkward moment.

After that, it was my turn to grow up. I didn’t want to, but everyone wanted me to, so I tried.

And this is my baby girl after the makeover she desperately wanted, she made me do it myself, she didn’t want to spend money unnecessarily. She was tired of the braid and let her hair loose. She looks pretty that way.

Generation 1: Meet Generation 2. Again

I kept taking care of my garden, it was some of the few things I really liked to do. That night, rose was in her crib, asleep, and Chris was fishing in the pond across the street.

And my baby decided that was the perfect moment to come into the world. Perfect timing.

I took a cab to the hospital and I only had time to wave at Chris, who took the next cab and arrived to the hospital moments after me.

Meanwhile, Rose sleeps blissfully, without knowing her new brother or sister is in the way. She looks so peaceful, I hope she keeps feeling that way when the baby arrives.

I didn’t want to leave her on her own, but thankfully this nice teen offered to babysit for us, for a small fee, of course. I was in no position to refuse, so I agreed, reluctantly. Davy Linnel looks like a nice kid, I think he’ll take good care of my baby.

After a long, long labor, I gave birth to this beautiful little girl: Natalie Thompson. She is very happy in this picture and I couldn’t help but notice that when we got into the cab she was not as happy anymore, maybe she liked the feeling of being outside.

Look, look, I got a surprise for you! Just because it was a surprise for us, we were expecting one baby and we got two cute girls. She’s Nicole, she was born five minutes after her twin sister and Chris wanted to carry her outside and in the cab. She was asleep most of the time, but every bump in the road woke her up, poor baby!

They quickly grew up into two cute toddlers. This is Natalie, whose hair I styled just like mine. She seemed pleased with that. I took two of Rose’s old outfits for the girls, I hope she doesn’t mind

And this one is Nicole, whose hair her Daddy styled into two lovely braids, because her mother wore them and he always liked them. Such a mama’s boy, isn’t he?

I knew having three toddlers in the house was going to be tricky, to say the least.  But I wasn’t ready for this. Once one of the girls is fed, the next one has to be changed and the third needs to sleep. And when you think it’s over for the night, it’s not, someone wakes up and the routine starts again.

Exhausting. One day, I couldn’t get to my bed on time and I just collapsed on the living room floor.

Natalie was close by and as Chris was walking by he saw her smiling. She was looking at me and smiling. I just can’t believe that, can I? Chris is certain that my baby is evil but I really don’t want to think about it. Hopefully, when she grows up she will get some good traits. I really hope so.

Meanwhile, the twins needed to learn everything their sister Rose had already learnt, such as walking, talking and use the potty. I took upon my self to teach Natalie, because my husband didn’t want to be close to such an evil being.

Chris had not been an item in Rose’s upbringing. He was always busy. But this time around he understood I needed his help with the twins. He stayed with sweet and good Nicole, teaching her how to beg for a raise. I mean it, I was close by when this happened. Nicole didn’t understand, but it was a nice try though.

And what about Rose? She was all by herself, playing with her teddy bear. I think she missed us.

Finally, after a while, I could go back to do what I liked best: Painting.

This is the babies room, I got two matching cribs for the twins and changed the blankets on Rose’s. I don’t know why Chris decided to put Natalie in Rose’s crib, I guess he wanted her to be far away of Nicole, daddy’s little angel.

Besides their different personalities, the twins got along just fine and would play with each other for hours on end. Nicole always lent Natalie the biggest and brightest cubes, she’s such a good girl.

Generation 1: Meet Generation 2

Well, Chris was very happy and we hugged in bed while thinking about our new family. All my fears had gone away.

Things went back to normal for a while, I continued painting, trying to get some money on the side. I hate maternity leave, why has it have to be so long? Anyway, I was still getting paid and Chris was working as well.

Chris continued with his fishing, he still doesn’t catch a perfect one, but he keeps trying. Meanwhile, we sell everything he catches, we need every simoleon for the new baby.

Everything was OK until my baby decided it was time to get home.

Thankfully, Chris was home at the time and he called a cab to go to the hospital. He wasn’t confident enough on his medical abilities to help me with a home birth

After a few hours, I don’t know how many, I think I passed out at some point, we brought home a little bundle of joy: Rose Thompson.

She was happy to see me, she stared at me for a long while, very impressed I think. I stared back at her for a while, until I started to smell something awful, it was her! Her nappy was dirty and she didn’t even care, she’s a bit of a slob at her young age.

Rose quickly grew up into a cute toddler. I styled her long hair in a lovely braid on one side and changed her into her new clothes, the ones I had bought just a day before.

I was happy with my new girl and decided to teach her everything she needed to know to grow up well. First, I taught her how to talk. She liked it when I told her about cooking and she answered quickly, maybe she will grow up to be a natural cook just like her mom and dad.

Well, she certainly likes to play with her food.

Chris continued with his quest, sadly he still doesn’t catch a perfect fish, but we keep selling the ones we get.

Chris and I were happy, but I knew something was missing. We had a beautiful baby girl, but I really wanted more children, at least five of them. So, we kept trying, even if Rose wast just a toddler, we were sure we could manage two babies in the house. After a while, I was pregnant again.

Meanwhile, Rose still needs to learn to walk and use the potty, so I keep teaching her. I’m on maternity leave and I have all the time to my baby girl. Soon, I will not have all the time to be with her, I will have to divide it between her and the new baby.

All this time Chris has been focusing on his career and his fishing, and even though he doesn’t have any results with the latter, he got promoted. He looks quite funny with that pink uniform, I hope he doesn’t need to wear it for too long.

I kept teaching everything to my little girl, while Chris is out there fishing. Rose is a very cute little girl and I want her to age well.

When I’m not painting or teaching something to Rose, I’m tending the garden. It has grown a lot over the years and I’m very proud of it. I play with the sprinkler sometimes too, just for the sake of it. It’s so much fun!

One day, I realized I’m going stir crazy with staying all day long in the house, I needed to go out and do something. I picked up my baby and headed to town.

We stopped at the library, I wanted to teach Rose how nice and useful books are. We sat on the ground and spent the afternoon reading children’s books. I think she liked it.

Oh, and by the way, Chris doesn’t have to wear that pink uniform anymore, he got a promotion!
